March 13, 2008 Washington, DC The Campus Environmental Resource Center, a SharePoint solution developed and implemented by SusQtech, was launched today. The site targets college and university staff charged with managing environmental impact.
The Campus Environmental Resource Center – CampusERC site as a whole was created to be a great library of resources to support the improvement of campus environmental performance. This site is a collaboration effort among NACUBO, C2E2, CSHEMA, APPA and the EPA. The content on the site targets audiences such as staff, administrators or faculty who are looking for resources to better understand environmental regulations, communicate with relevant contacts, seek model practices, track news or build and manage better environmental programs. This site also provides a variety of resources such as a Compliance Guide, State Resources, Regulatory Updates, FAQs, Model Practices, Reports, Tools & Calculators, Blogs and Listservs
Using some of MOSS 07’s strongest features the site is a single repository for campus related environmental information and this content is provided to a variety of audiences using taxonomy, content types and audience targeting. The site is designed to direct site users to enter the library based on the audience’s interests. The general public may wish to enter through the door marked “Virtual Tour” for information associated with specific locations on campus and best practices.
