SusQtech, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, is providing veterans returning to the workforce the opportunity to expand their technical skills by learning Microsoft SharePoint for free through the SharePoint for America’s Heroes Project. In order to be eligible for the program, veterans must have been honorably discharged from service within the last two years, be able to provide proof of service, and have not previously attended a course through SusQtech within the last 12 months.
“We are very excited about the SharePoint for America’s Heroes Project and the opportunity to give back to service men and women who have given so much for us,” says Mike Steadman, CEO of SusQtech and a veteran who served in the Air Force. “We designed the SharePoint for America’s Heroes Project as a way to give armed forces veterans re-entering the workforce an opportunity to get ahead in today’s job market. The success and wide spread adoption of SharePoint, Microsoft’s collaboration and content management platform, has put a premium on job seekers with SharePoint knowledge and skills.”
All of SusQtech’s SharePoint training classes are taught by Microsoft Certified Trainers and Certified SharePoint Developers. Current course offerings include SharePoint Designer 2010, SharePoint 2010 Administration and Architecture, SharePoint Power User 2010, SharePoint 2010 Immersion and more. Classes are designed for those in the end-user, administrator, developer and designer roles.
