SusQtech, a Microsoft® Gold Certified Partner specializing in consulting, products, training, and technical support for Microsoft SharePoint, is the title sponsor of the first annual SharePoint4Gov Symposium. Organized by the Association for Enterprise Information (AFEI), the one day event is recognized as the nation’s premier educational symposium designed exclusively for government professionals using or evaluating SharePoint. The event will be held on September 29 in Arlington, VA.  Microsoft MVPs and SharePoint experts from around the country will be speaking on strategies and best practices relating to the SharePoint platform.

According to SusQtech President Rob Hustick, the event is especially timely because over 95 percent of Government agencies now use SharePoint. “SusQtech has provided SharePoint training to 32 different Government agencies through our SharePoint Academy division and we understand that SharePoint professionals within the Government want technical training to get them up to speed on features and functionality – and they also want a deeper strategic understanding of when and how to leverage SharePoint within a government-specific context. That’s the type of knowledge and value that comes out of real world case studies presented at an event like SharePoint4Gov. We’re very excited that AFEI has put this symposium together.”

Registration is now open for the event with early bird discount rates lasting until August 31. Opening remarks will be delivered by Lewis Shepherd, Director of the Microsoft Institute for Advanced Technology in Governments.

SusQtech sessions will include:

Data Collection and 508 Compliance in SharePoint, Liam Cleary, Microsoft MVP

Law and Order: Content Governance in SharePoint, Bonnie Strong, Senior Content Specialist, and Terry Simpson, Senior SharePoint Architect

Five Must Have SharePoint Add-Ons for SharePoint from Terry Simpson, Senior Solutions Architect

SharePoint 2010 Highlights and Strategies from Julie Muccillo, Senior Solutions Architect

In addition to being a title sponsor of SharePoint4Gov Symposium, SusQtech has just announced it will be moving its own conference, SharePoint Conference .Org, to the Reston Town Center in 2012. The 2012 event, which focuses on SharePoint education and professional development for the association and non-profit industry, will run from April 29th through May 2nd.
