SusQtech President Michael Steadman spoke at User Focus 2007 on Friday, October 12 at the Renaissance Washington DC Hotel. User Focus 2007 was the second annual conference of The Washington, DC Metro chapter of the Usability Professionals' Association (UPA). The event was a one-day exchange of ideas and experiences that demonstrate the value of usability in successful design, and included topics for people new to usability as well as for experienced practitioners.
The conference was designed to bring together the usability professionals of the DC metro area in order to exchange ideas, best practices and resources for issues that are meaningful to the local community. Conference attendees could choose among 14 presentations and three tutorials on a wide range of topics, including case studies, best practices, cutting edge methods and important trends. The conference included sessions by top usability experts Kate Walser and Jared Spool, and concluded with Mike Steadman's session titled, "Searching for Web Usability", which was based on Search Analytics.
