WASHINGTON, DC (November 1, 2007) – Today Susquehanna Technologies represented Microsoft Corporation and the Microsoft Office SharePoint 2007 platform at The New New Internet: Web 2.0 for Business conference held in Reston, Virginia.
The event, staged at the Hyatt Regency in Reston, featured a nationally recognized line-up of speakers and panelists discussing what the latest evolution of the World Wide Web means to business and government. As a showcase exhibitor at the event, Microsoft sought to show attendees how SharePoint 2007 is helping organizations achieve their goals in the Web 2.0 world. Microsoft asked SusQtech to represent the SharePoint 2007 platform in part due to SusQtech’s extensive experience creating communities on SharePoint.
The best known example of a community-based Web site built on the SharePoint 2007 is thesug.org, a SharePoint User Group site that SusQtech developed for associations and other organizations interested in the latest SharePoint technology. The site features blogs, discussion groups and Wikis focused on SharePoint 2007 Microsoft representatives remarked that the site was the best example they have seen to date of any organization utilizing SharePoint 2007 for a true Web 2.0 experience.
