Children’s Charity Receives Gifts from SusQtech

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 12/28/2007

Evans Home chosen as recipient of SusQtech’s holiday campaign

WINCHESTER, VA (December 28, 2007) – This season Susquehanna Technologies selected the Evans Home as the recipient of the company’s joint employee/corporate giving campaign.  The company donated over $3,000 in gifts and cash to the home.

Past holidays, SusQtech has matched employees contributions to various charities.  This year, however, the company decided to choose a single worthy cause and direct all employee donations and company matches to that cause.  The company matched employees donations 2 to 1, so every dollar donated by an employee was matched by two dollars from SusQtech.  With over $1,000 in employee contributions and the matching amount from SusQtech the campaign far exceeded its goal of raising $2,000.

“Our employees really came through,” stated Mike Steadman, president of SusQtech.  “I was overwhelmed by their generosity and the company was pleased to give even more than we expected.  The Evans Home is such a great cause; they do wonderful things for kids who are going through difficult times.”  SusQtech’s donations were a part of a community outreach program that includes sponsorship of Little League Teams, donations to food pantries and work with high school students through Shenandoah University.
